Jim is a former long-tenured Lakeland employee, having held positions of Planning Director, Director of Administration, and eventually City Manager before leaving for the private sector in 2018. 

Jim was elected on November 3, 2020 to serve a four year term. 

Jim’s main focus areas as a Commissioner are planning and development, fiscal responsibility, data driven decision making, and recognizing the impact each decision has on the citizens of Lakeland.
